Zafiro  Acevedo
Zafiro Acevedo

Ms. Acevedo was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico and came to Yonkers in 1984.  She earned her BA in Computer Technology in Graphic Media Arts from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.  She has been a teaching artist, specializing in caricatures, face painting, and murals for Foto a la Mexicana/Mexican portrait studio; the Center for Traditional Music and Dance with the Mano a Mano Organizing Committee of Untermyer Park in Yonkers; Dana Discovery Center in Central Park and the Queens Museum of Art amongst many other places.

Judy Aronow

Judy Aronow received a Bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College, and a Masters Degree from Lehman College in art education. She taught middle school and high school in the New York City school system. She has studied at the New York Botanical Gardens where she earned a Certificate in Botanical Illustration. She is in the process of completing her Certificate in Scientific Illustration there as well. Judy has also taken master classes with internationally renowned teachers/illustrators including John Cody, Elaine Hodges, Ann Marie Evans, Jenny Phillips, and Trudy Nicholson. She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, The Westchester Council for the Arts Roster of Artists, The Greenwich Art Society, and The Scarsdale Art Association .

Alexi Rutsch Brock
Alexi Rutsch Brock

Ms. Brock holds a BFA in Fine Art/Art Education from the School of Visual Arts, NYC and an MS in Studio Art from The College of New Rochelle. She has been an art instructor at New Rochelle HS since 1991 and an independent curator since 1988. Ms. Brock has been affiliated with PAC since she was 4 years old.

Kevin Brownie

Mr. Brownie recieved his BA and BFA from Concordia University, Montreal, and also studied at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta and York University, Toronto. He has taught in Ireland and at School of Visual Arts and Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. His credits as a background painter, storyboard, layout and animation artist include 'Heavy Metal,' 'An American Tail II,' Bugs Bunny shorts, Beavis and Butt-head, Saturday Night Live, C.O.P.S., Teddy Ruxpin and the Ace Ventura animated series.

Barbara Cantatore

Ms. Cantatore received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts and her MA in art education from the College of New Rochelle. She worked as a graphic designer, art director and illustrator for many years prior to becoming an art teacher. Ms. Cantatore taught children's drawing & painting classes this past summer at The Westchester Art Workshop and currently teaches art at Valhalla Middle/High School.

Jeanne Carreau
Jeanne Carreau

Ms. Carreau has been a potter for over 25 years and was a master potter's apprentice in Japan before she earned her MA at UC Berkeley. Moving to Hong Kong, she established a studio and taught at several schools.  Ms. Carreau has worked with students in public schools and teaches at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, New York.  She has exhibited in Asia and throughout the U.S.

Maria Elena  Carullo
Maria Elena Carullo

Mrs. Carullo first became interested in jewelry creation in high school while visiting her grandparents in Spain.  During her vacation she had the opportunity to visit jewelry workshops in Toledo. She has worked in several areas of jewelry design including pearl crochet and silver creations for women, men, and the home. Currently, she is creating contemporary designs in beaded jewelry which she markets through her company, Mariele Garcia. Mrs. Carullo holds advanced degrees in modern languages and educational administration.

Antonella  Cioffoletti
Antonella Cioffoletti

Ms. Cioffoletti has been creating homemade culinary dishes for over 25 years. Most recently, she has conducted pasta-making, cooking, sewing and quilting workshops at local libraries for both children and adults.

Jo Ann Clark

Jo Ann Clark earned an MFA in Writing from Columbia University and has taught literature and workshops in international Schools in Rome, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Bank Street College in Manhattan. Her poems and translations have appeared in journals in the U.S. and U.K., including Reactions, The Western Humanities Review, The New Republic, The Paris Review and The Boston Review (forthcoming). For recent work in Prairie Schooner, she has been nominated for Best New Poets 2010.

Andrew Coombs

Mr. Coombs began his ceramic career making pinch pots in his father's pottery studio. After an academic career that ranged from chemistry to philosophy and back to pottery, he earned his MFA in ceramics in 2008 from the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He enjoys making functional pottery, giving people the opportunity to interact and form personal connections with his work.

Deborah  Coulter
Deborah Coulter

Ms. Coulter has exhibited her work and taught classes at Pelham Art Center. She earned a BA from The Evergreen State College in Washington, and has since studied drawing, painting and art history at both The School of Visual Arts and the University of Hartford Art School. Ms. Coulter has been a visiting artist at Solomon Schecter School and Mamaroneck High School, and she currently teaches privately in Westchester and Connecticut.

Linda  Darin
Linda Darin

Ms. Darin founder of Darin Transformations, is a registered nurse and healthcare practitioner. She helps her clients balance their bodies and minds through holistic, intuitive therapies that empower individuals to take charge of their health and well-being.

Daniel  DeNapoli
Daniel DeNapoli

Mr. DeNapoli received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and studied at the Art Students League of New York. He has taught children cartooning, painting and drawing at the Westchester Academy of Self Defense and has taught advertising and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts. He has won various art competitions in the US and Europe and has exhibited his work in New York City.

Marisol Díaz

Marisol Díaz received a Bachelor in Arts degree in photography from City College City University of New York (2002), and an Associates degree in Advertising Arts from Bronx Community College (1993). As a freelance photographer, her clients have included the Associated Press, Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (BOEDC),Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (BAAD), The New Bronx News, The Bronx Times, Bronx Council on the Arts, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Bronx Opera Company, Bronx Net, Coca-Cola, El Diario la Prensa, Montefiore Hospital, the New York Mets, Norwood News, Denham Wolf, Salsa Catering, Sun and Moon Marketing, The Office of the Bronx Borough President and Pepatián. 

 

J.C. English
J.C. English

Ms. English is classically trained in oils, pastels, and drawing. She was an apprentice to Daniel E. Greene and received academic training at the Art Students League. Her work has been included in juried exhibitions at the Salmagundi Club, the Hudson Valley Art Association, Audubon Artists, New Haven Painting and Clay Club, and the American Artists Professional League Inc. She has taught drawing and painting in the area for over 20 years.

Mary Ann Fava

Ms. Fava has is a state-certified art teacher  and received degrees from Iona College and College of New Rochelle and Montessori certification from the Center for   Montessori Education, White Plains.  She has been the recipient of numerous early childhood art grants in Yonkers. Ms. Fava has also been the recipient of the Arts Partners Grant through the ArtsWestchester.

David Fletcher

Mr. Fletcher has over 25 years performing for groups of all sizes (and ages). David performs strolling magic and magic shows in venues ranging from “21” and the Waldorf Astoria to TV Commercials to hospitality booths to conventions and sales meetings to private parties of all sized. Michelle Foligno

Ms. Foligno earned a BFA from FIT in Textile Design and she has a Chef Certificate from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health in NY. She has designed textiles for well known brands in fashion and home furnishings and she has owned and operated a catering company in NYC. She teachers art, sewing and cooking classes in her own studio and in schools in Westchester.

Vickie  Fremont
Vickie Fremont

Ms. Fremont's formal education includes degrees in anthropology, language, teaching, and fine arts. Additionally, she speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Bambara. Ms. Fremont has developed programs for all ages to create craft objects with an African bent by using various recycled materials. She has taught workshops in New York City public libraries, local cultural centers, museums and public and private schools, including the Fashion Institute of Technology; City University of New York; Museum of African Art in Washington, DC; Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture; and the Bronx Museum.

Hope  Friedland
Hope Friedland

Ms. Friedland is an award winning watercolor painter who has exhibited her work in group and solo exhibitions. Her articles on elementary art education have appeared in magazines, periodicals and journals. Known as "The Art Lady," Ms. Friedland teaches workshops to kids in the Westchester Library System. She has also taught watercolor on the cruise ship Cunard QEII and for Crystal Cruise Lines.

Mrs. Gladstone received her BA at St. Josephs College and her MS in Education from CUNY Brooklyn College. She teaches visual & cultural workshops to children of all ages, adults and special needs populations throughout New York.

Adrien  Goulet
Adrien Goulet

Adrien spends his days (and some nights) at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck as the Marketing & Creative Director, handling everything from website design to photography to print design to press relations and everything in between. Prior to the Emelin he held the position of Interactive / Web Marketing Manager at Symphony Space in Manhattan. Since 2000, Adrien has run a freelance design and marketing business, specializing in helping non-profits and small businesses achieve their goals without breaking their budgets. Adrien received a BA in Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz and currently lives in Manhattan with his two dogs, Rambo and Delta Force.
