An introduction to hand-building techniques, the extruder, slab roller and different types of clay. Children will gain a basic knowledge of the ceramic process, including glazing and firing.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

Ages 11-16

Wednesday - Headphones, furniture, even your toothbrush - industrial design is everywhere. Discussions will include finding a balance between functionality and aesthetics.  Students will concept, sketch and scan ideas for new products before bringing them to life using industry standard software to add texture and color.
No previous experience necessary!

COMICS

COMICS

Ages 8+

Are you an avid comic book reader? Do you find yourself reading the newspaper funny pages, or maybe you just love superheroes? In this class you will learn how to develop and create your own comics. We will discuss the characters, stories, and history of comics as well as the processes and techniques developed and used by comic book professionals. Each student will leave this class with their own comic book!
