Ages 9-14
Students will explore suspenseful plots with surprise twists while creating mysterious and strange characters, settings, and events. The goal will be to produce at least one or two short stories and poems with unexpected endings.

Ages 8-14
Learn how to create a successful video game and/or board game. Students will analyze and discuss games created throughout history, as well as create their own board or video game designs. This is not a computer programming class.

WEEK 2, JULY 1-3: HIGH SCHOOL DRAWING & PAINTING
Ages 13-17
Twice the fun in half the time: two instructors, three days, your art. You might wish to emphasize your personal expression and pursue your own ideas, or to work from observation and sharpen your technical skills. Your project might be narrative imagery, geometric design, free form abstraction, still life, architecture, landscape or seascape. Both artists / teachers will assist you it in making it happen. Materials might be pencil or pen on paper, water color, tempera or acrylic on canvas. One to one instruction. Short but specific material list will be provided before the start date of the workshop.

Create your own animated short film using Flash! This workshop will begin with a lesson on how to use Flash, including drawing and adding color. Students will learn the basics for animation, such as motion, shape tweening, and some timeline effects, as well as a brief intro to sound.
