ORNAMENT MAKING - UP-CYCLED TREES

ORNAMENT MAKING - UP-CYCLED TREES

Create a one-of-a-kind environmentally friendly/up-cycled tree ornament this holiday season and you may be inspired to create your own forest! We will use a simple template for the structure
but by using your imagination and a variety of materials, you can customize and create any sort of tree design, free standing or hanging. Since we will be using scissors and exacto knives, the class
would be best suited to children 8 years of age and older. Very young children should be accompanied by an adult and a more basic 2D tree project will be offered as an alternative to the more intricate 3D tree project.

PAINTING WITH ALTERNATIVE MEDIA

PAINTING WITH ALTERNATIVE MEDIA
Ages Adults and Teens

This two-day workshop will be totally liberating! You’ll develop a
variety of techniques and approaches using whatever media
you choose. Our focus will be on alternative (non-artist) materials,
although some traditional water-based media will be integrated

paste, texturizing agents, gold leaf, colored gesso, crackling agents,
netting, gauze, fabric dyes, inks, tissue paper, adhesives, and more.
Many approaches and supplies will be demonstrated--and then
you can decide on what YOU want to create! Our fi rst session will
involve playing with the materials to see what you can do with
them. The second session will be focused on creating a fi nished
project using your new skill set. There will be a $20 supplies fee due
to the Instructor at the fi rst session. All tools and materials will be
provided. Experienced painters and beginners are welcome. Wear
