Project Community, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that delivers innovative, community-based health programs. Founded by nurses in 1985, and led by a network of expert healthcare professionals and passionate volunteers, Project Community fills gaps in health awareness and education at the grassroots level. Our interactive educational programs equip adolescents with the ‘knowledge to navigate’ topical themes, including self-awareness, anxiety, binge drinking, and sexual assault. We strive to give every child and young adult the opportunity to protect themselves and each other.

Through Project CHILDD (Community Help In Learning about Developmental Disabilities), Project Community offers programs designed to reinforce the self-esteem of children and teens (ages 3-18) with developmental delays, while providing much-needed respite for the participants’ families. Delivered in partnership for over 15 years with the Pelham Art Center, Project CHILDD provides free monthly art, social, and movement programs to children and teens with special needs.
