Learn the age-old, intricate Asian art of paper-folding called Origami in this five-day class! Origami has applications in the modern-day classroom for geometry, thinking skills, fractions, problem solving, and fun. Students will start off with step-by-step basics and gradually progress to more complex levels through demonstrations and practice. Students will create butterfly/monster bookmarks, origami mobiles, animals, stars and more! Also, they will delve into the origins and history of the art form, providing context for the process. At the end of class, take home your carefully constructed decorative crafts to display as you wish!
