Summer Workshop

In this workshop, students will create an abstract design with magazine papers, patterns and text on a Bristol paper substrate. To create a dramatic effect, we will only use black, white and red colored papers that will then be cut into squares or rectangles. Students will proceed to organize the papers into a geometric pattern and play with arrangement and layout to further engage the eye. The workshop will include a demonstration, tips on collage technique and individual guidance. In advance of the workshop, students will receive an email with an introduction to the workshop and a link from the instructor’s website for how to create painted papers for the class. All levels are welcome to attend.
