Drawing from Observation is a class about learning to look carefully and using the basic tools of drawing to record and reproduce what you see. The process of drawing from observation is a terrific visual discipline, but also a liberating exploration of how you can communicate through connecting your eye, your hand and your imagination. We will work from still-lifes of everyday objects, using drawing paper, pencil and charcoal. Students will keep a drawing journal where they will document daily drawings in addition to their larger drawings created in class.
