Anna Novakov is an artist, certified perfumer and pattern designer. After earning a Ph.D. from New York University in Art Education, Novakov taught for over 25 years at the San Francisco Art Institute and Saint Mary’s College of California before opening studios in New York and New Mexico. As the founder of Mala_Igla design firm in New Rochelle, her work is focused on vibrant surface patterns that can be applied to textiles, wallpaper or various types of interior décor. Her perfume company, RoqRaum, creates scented products such as candles, travel perfumes and scents for retail spaces.
She is a member of Pleiades Gallery in Chelsea and her work has been exhibited recently at the Agora Collective – Center for Collaborative Practices, Berlin, ZK/U Center for Art and Urbanistics, Berlin, SITE Santa Fe, Zaziots Times Square, New York and Fringe Arts Festival, Bath Spa.
