Rachel Krause

Rachel Krause is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator from New York who loves the dynamic of the classroom and empowering her student’s creative process. She recently moved back from Berlin, Germany where she co- directed and produced several art events, including a fundraiser for Figment, studied Neuroethics and taught art and English literacy. She has contributed her art to many exhibitions and educational projects over the years  (New York and abroad) and was most recently part of the Werkstatttraum, an art collective in Berlin. She’s taught all levels and developed many courses at Berkeley College, NYC where she was a professor for six years. Her background in theater, yoga instruction and mental health counseling has enhanced her abilities as a compassionate and engaging teacher. She has BFA from SUNY Purchase, a Masters in Art Education (MAT) from The School of Visual Arts as well as NYS teaching certification (K-12). Her passion for designing and teaching interdisciplinary curricula, that incorporates visual art-making, continues to grow as she tailors her lessons to the culture of each individual classroom. Teaching is one of the most rewarding experiences for her.
