Born in Guatemala, Central America. Studied at Liceo Moderno, San Carlos University, Guatemala City, Guatemala and acquired a Teachers Degree. In New York attended Albert Pels School of Art/Cooper Union and received a BA in fine & commercial art. Attended workshop courses for one year with Martine Vaugel, sculpted in clay and stone, New Rochelle, NY. Studied for five years with the American painter Charles Gruppe, plein air painting on location in Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and Greece. Completed various courses in Early Childhood Behavior from Albany University.
Employed as an art director for advertising/design firms in New York City for five years. Worked with American pop artist Charles Fazzino, producing 3-D artwork. Owned and managed Childrens Creative Corner, an art school for 15 years in Larchmont, NY. Employed in the Pelham School District as a high school Spanish teacher and substitute art teacher in the elementary schools. Art teacher for special after school programs in the Larchmont School District and Mamaroneck School District. Art workshops at The Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase College. Currently freelancing as an art teacher at Challenge Camp, a gifted and talented summer camp.
