Tanaisha Semidey

I have taught visual arts for the past six years in a public elementary school in East Harlem. Studying Visual Arts administration at New York University and Art Education at the State University of New York at New Paltz has informed my strong interest and experience in public education and community-based settings. My strong belief that the arts are fundamental to the social, emotional, and mental development of a child serves as the foundation of my practice. Aside from finding joy in my own personal art making, I find fulfillment in providing youth and communities with classes and workshops that offer a variety of visual arts experiences.
