Our public sculpture performance with Accent Dance NYC has been cancelled – Stay Tuned for a Spring Performance!
Witness an interpretive performance by Accent Dance NYC inspired by Musa Hixson’s “Conversation Sculpture” in Wolfs Lane Park.
The Conversation Sculpture opened in Wolfs Lane Park in June 2021. The 9ft x 6ft x 6ft steel sculpture by Musa Hixson has three seats enclosed in its frame that mimics a blooming flower. As a public art installation it is designed to promote dialog, contemplation, and understanding.
Accent Dance NYC is a movement-based educational and professional performance initiative rooted in the spirit of collaboration and cultural convergence. Accent Dance NYC’s mission is to inspire youth through dance education; to enlighten through multicultural dance performances; and to empower through lasting community partnerships.
After the performance, visit the Pelham Art Center gallery to view Meditations curated by Susan Nathenson.
This event is followed by the Pelham Memorial High School Alumni Wine Reception 3:30-4:30pm in the Pelham Art Center gallery.
