Live & Interactive Art

The Art Happening will include several temporary installations and live art performances by professional artists. Capucine Bourcart will perform “THANK YOU!”, an ongoing project in which the artist knits together white “Thank You” plastic bags into a large blanket, signifying the habitual use and ongoing struggle with consumer plastics.

Maria De Los Angeles will be constructing one of her wearable sculptures throughout the event.

Kris Campbell will present some of her tapestries in a temporary installation for The Art Happening.

Featured Vendors:

“Happy Faces” balloon artist Mariana de La Rosa will be making inflatable creations 12-3pm. DJ Stephen Byfield will be on 3rd Street all afternoon to keep the block bumping! Before the party is over, don’t forget to make a mark on the big community canvas and to stop inside the Pelham Art Center gallery where works by Alexander Rutsch and the 2021 Rutsch Award winning painter Matthew Cole will be on view.
