Gallery Concert with Ellen Weiss

The Pelham Art Center is pleased to host an evening of of music and wine with new Pelham resident Ellen Weiss. Ellen is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is dedicated to promoting the power of the human voice both as a performer and an educator. Her musical expression goes beyond genre, always dedicated first to reaching the heart. Ellen’s performing career reflects her love of varied styles of music. She has appeared in New York City at the Triad Lounge, Caffe Vivaldi, Don’t Tell Mama, The Sun Music Company, and The Omni Park Central Hotel.
Ellen’s many theatrical productions include an original Fringe Festival musical called “Barcode”. She can also be heard as back up vocalist on Brian Kramer’s blues album, “Strike While it’s Hot” where she also acted as vocal coach. Ellen was a member of the contemporary folk music group “Water Sign” for 10 years, which produced an award winning self-titled CD.
Ellen is an entertainer, singer, and teacher with a passion for emotional authenticity in the many forms that it can be manifested. Her strong lyrical voice is at home with many styles of music from the great jazz standards to musical theatre to folk, pop and blues.
Her music is deeply personal and expressive, originating from a drive to discover personal truths with universal recognition. “The human voice has the potential to dynamically express the myriad aspects of human emotion and experience,” she states. Ellen’s passion is to create a palpable energy shift in the room, a space that can stir emotions and reflect dreams.
