Pelham Art Center Receives Westchester Community Foundation Grant
Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce its approval for a one-year grant of $20,000 from the Westchester Community Foundation, a division of The New York Community Foundation. The grant will be used for bringing creative after-school arts classes to under-served elementary schools in the Mount Vernon School District. The classes aim to bring hands-on arts programs in mixed media, sculpture, and drawing to at least 600 youth in Mount Vernon over a 24-week period. Students in these classes will engage with academic topics of history, science and cultural awareness through a variety of art projects.
